Scorpion Athletics

Sports create school pride and community connections, provide pathways to college scholarships, and promote lifelong physical and mental wellness. At Red Rock Jr. Sr. High School, our strong athletics program develops character traits like discipline, teamwork, and perseverance while supporting academic achievement through time management skills and eligibility requirements. Most importantly, athletics programs help develop well-rounded students who are prepared for success in college, careers, and life by teaching them how to work with others, handle challenges, and strive for excellence.

Champions in Sports & Life

Our high school sports program includes the following:

  • Fall Sports: volleyball, cross country, boys soccer, girls soccer, swim, cheer
  • Winter Sports: boys basketball, girls basketball, cheer
  • Spring Sports: baseball, softball, track & field, tennis, golf

Our junior high school program includes the following:

  • Fall Sports: volleyball, cross country, flag football
  • Winter Sports: girls basketball, boys basketball
  • Spring Sports: baseball, softball, track & field, coed soccer

Exciting Program Growth

We are actively working to expand our athletic offerings. SOCSD currently has job openings for flag football, swimming, and middle school volleyball coaches. We are also considering adding girls’ flag football, which has been newly introduced through the Arizona Interscholastic Association.

Our Athletic Philosophy

Our athletic programs are built on the belief that sports teach valuable life lessons. We emphasize character development, leadership skills, and the importance of balancing athletics with academic achievement. Student-athletes must maintain academic eligibility to participate, reinforcing our commitment to the whole student.

Scorpion Booster Club—Champions for Our Students

The Scorpion Booster Club is a nonprofit corporation whose sole purpose is to encourage and support cocurricular and extracurricular programs at Sedona Red Rock Jr. Sr. High School. This incredible organization is dedicated to supporting and promoting student clubs, art and music organizations, athletic teams, teachers, and all the activities that make our school special.

Arizona Tax Credit

  • Every dollar of your contribution goes directly to our school.
  • Married couples filing jointly are eligible for a tax credit of up to $400.
  • Individual taxpayers are eligible for a tax credit of up to $200.
